1. Alzarri Joseph (MI)

Joseph produced the best-ever bowling performance in IPL history in 2019 when he took 6 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In his lethal spell of bowling, he conceded only 12 runs. He dismissed the likes of David Warner, Deepak Hooda, Rashid Khan, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Siddharth Kaul, and Vijay Shankar. Thanks to his stunning spell, SRH could only manage 96. Joseph was named Player of the Match award as MI won the match by 40 runs.

2. Sohail Tanvir (RR)

In the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, the left-arm pacer from Pakistan made an immediate impact as he took six wickets while conceding just 14 runs with an economy of 3.50 against Chennai Super Kings. He was the star player for the title-winning Rajasthan Royals team and ended the tournament as the leading wicket-taker with 22 wickets.

3. Adam Zampa (RPS)

Playing for Rising Pune Supergiant, the Australian leg-spinner wreaked havoc with his spinning deliveries against Sunrises Hyderabad in IPL 2016. Zampa took 6 wickets for just 19 runs and restricted SRH to 137/8. In reply, RPS couldn’t get over the line and fell short of 4 runs but for his terrific spell of bowling, Zampa was given the Player of the Match award.

4. Anil Kumble (RCB)

Kumble, one of the greatest spinners in Indian cricket history, produced one of the most stunning spells to date in the second season of IPL. While playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kumble was at his best against Rajasthan Royals. The legendary spinner took 5 scalps as RR was bundled out for just 58 runs.

He conceded only 5 runs and took RCB over the line. With his spinning variations, Kumble dismissed Yusuf Pathan, R Jadeja, Shane Warne, Munaf Patel, and Kamran Khan.

5. Jasprit Bumrah (MI)

Jasprit Bumrah entered the list of IPL bowling history charts when he took 5 wickets for just 10 runs against KKR. The fast bowler produced a brilliant performance for his team. But all of his efforts went in vain as Mumbai Indians failed to chase down 165 and were bundled out for 113. However, despite losing, Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the Player of the Match award for his heroic performance. Against KKR, it was the best bowling figure by any bowler and the best figure of the entire season.
