Bangladesh defeated Ireland by 10 wickets in their 3rd ODI

In the third and final 50-over match of the tour in Sylhet on Thursday, fast bowler Hasan Mahmud of Bangladesh took his first-ever five-wicket ODI haul, leading his team’s outstanding bowling performance against Ireland. Electing to bat first, Ireland faced a daunting challenge in overcast conditions as Hasan and his fellow pace bowlers wreaked havoc on their batting lineup. Taskin Ahmed’s superb performance of 3-26, combined with Hasan’s 5-32, meaning that Ireland was all out for just 101 runs in a mere 28.1 overs.
It was a dismal day for Ireland’s batsmen as they struggled to cope with Bangladesh’s bowling attack. Ebadot Hossain’s 2-29 completed their misery, reducing them to their lowest-ever score against Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s bowlers showed exceptional skill and accuracy, with Hasan leading the charge with his consistent line and length.

In response, Bangladesh’s openers came out with intent, and within 13.1 overs, they quickly chased down the target set by Ireland. Overall, it was a dominant performance from Bangladesh, with their bowlers putting in a superb effort to restrict Ireland to a low total, which their batsmen chased down without any trouble. Hasan’s five-wicket haul will undoubtedly be a significant milestone in his career and a moment to cherish for the young pacer.
