Bangladesh defeated the England team to win the 2023 T20 series

Bangladesh surprised everyone by making England’s team lose in the 2023 T20 series, which consists of three matches. England’s team is in the best form since the recent T20 World Cup, but Bangladesh’s team come up with a glorious performance against England in batting, bowling and fielding as well. Shakib Al Hasan lifted the trophy and represented the dominance of his team against England by whitewashing them in the T20 series.

After winning the first two T20 matches of the series, Bangladesh set the target of 158 runs with 2 wickets down in 20 overs for England’s team to avoid the whitewash. Litton Das scored 73 runs in 57 balls and Najmul Hossain Shanto added 47 not out in 36 balls to achieve the total. England’s bowling lineup failed to take wickets, hence there was not much pressure on Bangladesh.

While chasing the target, England’s team could only score 142 runs in 20 overs, Dawid Malan and Jos Buttler were the highest scorers from the England team, each contributing 53 and 40 runs respectively. Bangladeshi bowlers showed magnificent performance and restricted the English team to score only 142 runs while chasing the target of 158. Taskin Ahmed took 2 wickets in his four overs spell, while Mustafizur Rahman and Tanvir Islam took one wicket each. Litton Das was nominated as the Player of the Match for his magnificent inning of 73 runs.
