BCCI Unveils Dates: IPL 2024 to Thrill Fans March 22 Onwards

IPL 2024: The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to start on March 22, which is exactly five days after the end of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The IPL will end on May 26, which is only five days before the T20 World Cup starts in the West Indies and the Caribbean. India’s first World Cup game, on the other hand, is not until June 5, nine days later.

WPL & IPL Updates

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and its partners have talked about a possible schedule. The second season of the WPL will run from February 22 to March 17. As already said, the league will held in Bengaluru and Delhi. The plans should made public in the next day or two, most likely on Monday.

BCCI

As indiasport.club has previously reported, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is quietly considering the possibility that the IPL event could take place between March 22 and May 26, closely aligning with the General Election program. The BCCI can only confirm the schedule once the election dates are officially announced. However, the BCCI is confident in conducting the entire league in India.

Most cricket boards have assured the BCCI that their players will play until the final. Some players may go early due to the T20 World Cup starting on June 1. The BCCI’s main priority right now is aligning the calendar with the general elections and holding the league in India.
