Big Performance by the Big Names of RCB Led by Virat Kohli

The match between Royal Challenger Bangalore and Punjab Kings that was played in Mohali Cricket Ground in Mohali that was won by RCB with  a good margin of 24 runs 

Siraj, The Man of the Match

RCB players showcased good performance in Today’s match and with no doubt Siraj stood up above all the performance.  4 for 21 in 4 overs, a commendable performance by Indian star was awarded as the man of the match and he also received purple cap for taking 12 wickets in 6 games. It was Siraj’s show through out. He created two big back through inside the powerplay beginning with opener Taide in very second ball of the Punjab’s innings and then the dangerous man Livingstone. Later half of the innings when Punjab were building the partnership, Siraj came for the rescue of his team and brutally knocked over Harpreet Brar and Nathan Ellis and sealed the game for the RCB. Beside bowling performance  he was also involved in Harpreet Singh Bhatia’s run out.

Captain Faf-tastic

With 5 fours and 5 sixes Captain Faf du Plessis  scored quick 84 0f 56 balls. He was looking excellent with his touch and along with his opening partner Virat Kohli they together put a partnership of 137 0f 97 balls which is the highest opening partnership for RCB in this ground. Faf du Plessis is currently an orange cup holder of this current season with 343 runs in 6 matches averages 68.60 and strike rate of 166.50.

One More Time Captain Kohli

It was an eye pleasing surprise for every RCB fan and Kohli fan to see King Kohli coming down for the toss . After resigning as a RCB captain in 2021 these was the first appearance of Virat Kohli as a captain of RCB and there was huge cheer from the spectators to see their favorite player coming down for the toss.  Virat told during the toss told that in the previous match against CSK current captain Faf du Plessis struggled a bit and in today’s match he will play but as an impact player, he will bat but he will not be up there to field and that is why Virat led the team and won comfortably. As an individually Virat scored 59 of 47 with an below average strike rate of 125.53 which is surely not his game.

Punjab Kings kept losing their wickets in regular intervals of time and eventually they ended up in the losing side. All thanks to the standout performance by the players of RCB. Hasaranga also filled his pocket with two crucial wickets and Harshal Patel and Wayne Parnell with 1 wicket each. Orange Cap Checked, Purple Cap Checked.
