England team won the 3rd ODI 2023 against South Africa to save themselves from whitewash

England decided to bat first after winning the toss and set a good target of 346/7 in 50 overs to win for the South African team. Both Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan smashed brilliant centuries, and a six-wicket haul from Jofra Archer guided England to win against their hosts for 59 runs in the third and final ODI match of the three-match series.

Malan (118) and Buttler (131) took England to a huge total of 346/7 in 50 overs. During chasing, the South African team lost their initial wickets, but Heinrich Klaasen played sensibly and smashed 80 runs, giving a ray of hope to the hosts. But Archer took his crucial wicket at that moment, and South Africa was all out for 287 runs in 43.1 overs. Apart from Archer, Adil Rashid took three wickets and Chris Woakes scalped one wicket. With this brilliant win, the England team avoided a whitewash in the three-match series against their hosts, as South Africa claimed a 2-1 victory in the series.
