Finally, the 3rd Test match between Australia and South Africa went drawn

The Australian team scored a huge total of 475 runs due to the fabulous performances of Usman Khawaja 195* (368) and Steve Smith 104 (192) in the 1st innings of the 3rd Test match against South Africa. On the other hand, the South African batting line was restricted to 255 runs by the attacking bowling of Josh Hazlewood 4/48 (23) and Pat Cummins 3/60 (23). Furthermore, Keshav Maharaj could contribute 53 runs on 81 balls and Simon Harmer scored 47 runs on 167 balls to achieve 255 runs in the first innings for the South African team. In this way, the end of the first innings occurred.

After analysing the condition of South Africa, the Australian team decided to follow-on them to start the 2nd innings immediately. As the 2nd innings started on day 4, the South African batters sensibly played the game this time after taking the lesson from their previous innings.
