On Friday, October 6, Pakistan (PAK) will play the Netherlands (NED) in the second match of the 2018 ICC Cricket World Cup. The venue for the match is Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan hasn’t done a great job getting ready for the ICC event. India and Sri Lanka beat them in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup, so they didn’t make it to the final. To make things even worse, pacer Naseem Shah got hurt during the event and couldn’t play in the World Cup. Babar Azam and his team also lost both of their warm-up games, to New Zealand and Australia.
However, the Netherlands did play in an ODI during the World Cup Qualifier that took place in Zimbabwe back in June. Meanwhile, the incessant rain forced the cancellation of their World Cup tune-up games against Australia and India.

PAK vs NED Pitch Report:
The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad has employed red dirt, black soil, and a mix of both. Batters score more runs on black soil pitches due to their bounce. However, red dirt will help slower bowlers and spinners later in the game. The one with both will be even.
The flat course in Hyderabad made the two warm-up games high-scoring. Bouncers and slower deliveries help pace bowlers control run flow. The team batting first has had a slight advantage in seven official ODI matches at this venue.
