For the upcoming Test match in Delhi against India, David Warner‘s concussion replacement is Matt Renshaw. On the first day of the match, the Australian opener was struck in the arm and the helmet by a Mohammed Siraj delivery.
Warner was “tired,” Usman Khawaja said after play on Day 1, the medical team would assess whether or not he would continue to play in the Test. Warner’s participation in this game was officially over before Day 2 ever started due to sustaining a concussion.
Renshaw has quickly fought his way back into the lineup after being replaced by Travis Head for the current game following Australia’s humiliating loss in Nagpur when he made 0 (1) and 2 runs (7). Renshaw is not allowed to bowl in the Test since he will be a like-for-like replacement.
