India vs England, 3rd Test: Match Prediction – Who will win the 3rd Test match between IND vs ENG?

England is on a tour of India, and the third Test will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot starting February 15. This is the third match of the trip. Both teams are tied at 1-1 in the series after India won the last game. They are also favourites to win this game.

Both these teams had squared off against each other in the second match of the series where India won the toss and chose to bat first. Jaiswal was sensational in the first innings as he was the lone batter from one side and held the fort as he notched up his first double-century and pushed the team to a total of 396 runs. The first English players got off to a great start by striking. Zak Crawley had a great innings, but the other team didn’t do much to help them. They were bowled out for 253 with a 143-run lead.

India got off to a fast start in their third innings, but both of their openers were out quickly. However, it was number three, Shubhman Gill who brought glory with the bat this time around as he smashed a ton after long and the team managed to reach a total of 255 and gave England a goal of 399 runs. Once more, Crawley was great from the start and looked dangerous. Along with him, other players got off to good starts, but none of them were able to finish. This hurt them, as they were bowled out for 292 runs and lost the game by 106 runs.

IND vs ENG Pitch Report:

The batting grounds at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium are usually great, and they stay that way for at least two days before they start to show signs of wear and tear. The spinners should have come into the game in the last few days. India won the last Test match that was hosted at this venue with absolute ease, beating the West Indies by an innings and 272 runs on the third day in 2018. Winning the toss and batting first would be the ideal choice as the conditions are well-suited for batting in the first couple of days.

IND vs ENG Playing 11:

India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz Khan, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj

England: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (c), Ben Foakes (wk), Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Mark Wood, James Anderson

Team Preview

India

Indian batters Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel are both likely to be playing their first international game, so they will have to rely on their lack of experience. Shuben is the most experienced frontline batter on the team, with 22 caps in the longest form of the game. Rohit is the next most experienced player, with 56 games. Because they don’t have any experienced players, the young players will have to step up against a strong English team.

England

Like they have done every other game in the series, England named their starting XI one day before the Test match. For the first time in this series, the guests will have two pacers in their team: Mark Wood will join Anderson. Off-spinner Shoaib Bashir, who made his start in the second Test and took four wickets, replaced by the first player. That Joe Root has taken a lot of wickets must have given England the confidence to switch from a spinner to a fast bowler.

My Prediction: England will Win the Match.
