INDIA vs NEW ZEALAND, 2nd T20 Highlights: 

The second T20 between India and New Zealand was played this Sunday,on 29 January. This match is do or die for India. To stay in the series, Team India will have to register a win in this match at any cost.

This match between the two teams was held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. By the way, Team India’s T20 record in Lucknow has been excellent so far.And it was no different yesterday.

New Zealand’s spirits were high after winning the first T20 match. The pressure of winning the series was on Team India. India had to win both the matches to clinch the series. If Team India failed to do so, then the series will go out of their hands. Then for the first time after 2012, the New Zealand team would have won the T20 series on Indian soil. In the year 2012, the Kiwi team, which came on a tour of India, then won the T20 series 1-0. But ,alas, that did not happen.The Indian team won the second match by six wickets.

When they batted first, New Zealand achieved 99 runs in 20 overs while losing eight wickets. India completed its goal of 100 runs with one delivery remaining.
In the second T20, India beat New Zealand by six wickets. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, New Zealand scored 99 runs in 20 overs while losing eight wickets. Additionally, this was the lowest T20 score for the Kiwi squad against India. With one ball left, Team India responded by reaching the objective despite losing four wickets. By striking the fifth ball of the 20th over of the Indian innings for a four, Suryakumar Yadav claimed victory.

Mitchell Santner, the captain of New Zealand, scored 19 runs in an undefeated effort. Michael Bracewell and Mark Chapman batted 14 innings in unison. Devon Conway and Finn Allen each scored 11 runs. Two wickets were taken by Arshdeep Singh for India. Suryakumar Yadav recorded the most undefeated 26 runs for India . Ishaan Kishan,on the other hand , pitched a 19-run inning at the same time. After reaching 15 runs, captain Hardik Pandya stayed to be undefeated. For New Zealand, Bracewell and Sodhi each took one wicket.

Allen and Conway’s 21 run combination was the largest for New Zealand during the game. Suryakumar and Hardik formed the largest partnership from India at the same time. Together, they scored 30 runs in an unbroken partnership. Both teams failed to hit a six throughout this game. There were 239 balls bowled overall, including both innings without a six. In terms of international T20, this is the highest. In the earlier match between Bangladesh and New Zealand in 2021 in Mirpur, 238 balls were completed without a six.

With this victory, the three-match T20I series is now level at 1-1.The decisive match will be played on February 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.The three-match T20I series is now tied at 1-1 after this victory. The pivotal game will take place in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on February 1.
