'A thousand times more pressure and politics', KL gave such advice, Justin Langer does not want to become India's coach

Indian Team Coach: Lucknow Super Giants coach Justin Langer revealed that he does not want to become the Indian team coach following KL Rahul’s advice.

BCCI is continuing the search for the head coach of the team India. Meanwhile, Australian legends Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer have themselves been out of the race. Langer has revealed that he does not want to become India’s coach following KL Rahul’s advice.

Indian Team Coach: KL Rahul gave advice to Langer

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul talked to team coach Justin Langer about becoming the head coach of the Indian team. Langer recently revealed this and said that Rahul has given him good advice in this regard.

Speaking to the BBC’s Stumped podcaster, Justin Langer said: “You never say never. And the pressure of doing it in India… I was talking to KL Rahul (captain of Lucknow Super Giants, where Langer is the head coach) and he said, ‘You know, if you think there is pressure and politics in an IPL team ‘Multiply that by a thousand.’ I think that was good advice.”

Justin Langer believes that this is a tiring job. That is why he himself wants to stay out of the race to become an Indian coach.

“It would be a wonderful job, (but) I have to (keep myself out of contention),” he said. I also know it’s an all-encompassing role, and after doing it for four years with the Australian team, it’s exhausting, to be honest.”
