In the league that will begin on March 31, the Australian – David Warner will be in charge of the Delhi Capitals team, without the services of regular skipper Rishabh Pant, who has been sidelined for almost a year due to severe injuries sustained in a serious car accident.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad – After a disappointing performance, the previous IPL champions let go of captain Kane Williamson, and since the auction, supporters have been anxiously awaiting the team to name their new captain. Mayank Agarwal and Aiden Markram were seen as the front-runners for the captaincy position, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar also being considered a serious candidate. The Hyderabad IPL team put an end to the wait when they picked the South African hitter Aiden Markram as their new captain.

Why is Aiden Markram a good choice?

Markram recently guided Sunrisers Eastern Cape, a sister team of Sunrisers, to victory in the first SA20 tournament. He led the team from the front and put on a fantastic performance with the bat and ball.

Warner has had plenty of experience as a captain. Prior to having to break ways with the team in 2021 due to an unpleasant fallout, he had previously captained Australia, served as SRH’s captain for four and a half seasons, and even guided them to the 2016 title.
