KKR: Making his debut for KKR in IPL 2024, 18-year-old batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a stormy innings of 54 runs in just 27 balls.

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Delhi Capitals by a huge margin of 106 runs due to lethal batting. Meanwhile, debutant batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi for KKR performed strongly and scored a half-century with a strike rate of 200.

Raghuvanshi played an inning of 54 runs in 27 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes, due to which KKR reached a big score of 272 runs. The 18-year-old batsman had earlier performed effectively in the Under-19 World Cup under the captaincy of Yash Dhull and after this he scored 765 runs in just 9 matches in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy.

Due to this, KKR caught sight of the batsman and included him in the team at a base price of Rs 20 lakh in the auction. After making her debut, Raghuvanshi said that her practice was the reason behind her performance.

After the match, Raghuvanshi said, “The way we have been practicing for the last few weeks, I have got used to playing at a good level and that is what happened. So it was very simple, the way I have been practicing for the last few weeks and last few years, my coach Abhishek Nair, the way he made me practice. When I got there to play, I didn’t really have to think that much. I just followed my instincts and trusted them.”

“What I did in practice was enough,” Angkrish said. The way he has made me practice, he has made me face difficult situations during practice. So nothing in the match will seem that difficult.”

‘My Guru is everything for me’: Raghuvanshi

Raghuvanshi praised his coach a lot and gave him the credit behind his impressive performance. The batsman said, “He has helped me in every way. The way I think about the game during the game. The way I approach the game. The things I eat, the way I train. He’s basically my guru and everything. This is my relationship with him. I learned a lot from him.”
