Krishnappa Gowtham

Krishnappa Gowtham, an Indian cricketer who represents Karnataka, was born on October 20, 1988. In July 2021, he made his debut for India abroad. In kabaddi, his father M. Krishnappa competed for Karnataka.

Domestic Career and Statistics
In November 2012, when Karnataka met Bengal in the Ranji Trophy opener, he claimed two wickets, both in the second innings. Gowtham helped his team win both of its games during the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy season by collecting two back-to-back five-wicket hauls against Delhi and Assam. He recorded his career-best stats of 7/108 in the latter game. Gowtham’s first first-class century came in October 2017 while batting for Karnataka against Assam in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy.

IPL Career and Statistics
Gowtham was purchased by the Mumbai Indians squad for 2 crores in February 2017 in preparation for the 2017 Indian Premier League. Gowtham was purchased by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 IPL auction in January 2018. He was purchased by the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 Indian Premier League auction in February 2022.

International Career
For India’s series against Sri Lanka in June 2021, Gowtham was selected for both the Twenty20 International (T20I) and One Day International (ODI) teams. On July 23, 2021, he played his first ODI for India against Sri Lanka. Minod Bhanuka was his first international wicket.
