Mumbai Court Orders Probe Into Molestation Allegations In Prithvi Shaw Case: Report

Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw could be in trouble. A Mumbai court has ordered the police to investigate the allegations against Sapna Gill. In fact, Sapna Gill accused the batsman of sexually harassing her in 2023. According to a PTI report, Metropolitan Magistrate S.K. Tade asked the police to file a report by June 19.

What Is Going On Between Sapna Gill And Prithvi Shaw?

The case came to light last year when Sapna Gill alleged that Shah molested her in a pub in Andheri. However, the Indian player has denied these allegations. Sapna assaulted Shaw in February last year and was subsequently arrested.

However, he is now free on bail. Sapna said the police did not even register an FIR against Shaw. The case against Cricket was subsequently heard in the district court. All police charges are now unfounded. It was also revealed that Sapna and her friend were drunk at the time of the incident.

Gill registered a case against Shaw under IPC sections 354 (rape), 509 (word, gesture, or expression with intent to outrage the dignity of a woman), and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon or instrument) Denied.

Prithvi Shaw is currently playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. However, the bat has fared no better so far. Shaw recently returned to action after a long layoff due to injury.
