Naveen-ul-Haq is an Afghan Cricketer who made his international debut for Afghanistan Cricket in 2016. He is a right arm medium fast bowler and he plays different league around the globe. Domestic and T20 Franchise

On March 7, 2018, Naveen participated in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament for Kabul Region, making his first-class debut.

Naveen was selected for Nangarhar’s team in the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League competition in September 2018. He was chosen in November 2019 to represent the Sylhet Thunder in the Bangladesh Premier League for the 2019–20 season. He was included on the Guyana Amazon Warriors roster for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League in July of that year. The Kandy Tuskers selected him in the first round of the Lanka Premier League draught in October 2020.

The Leicestershire Foxes acquired Naveen in February 2021 in preparation for the English T20 Blast competition. He left Leicestershire in October 2021 in preparation for the English summer of 2022. With 5/11 from his four overs in the T20 Blast encounter against the Worcestershire Rapids in June 2022, he achieved his maiden five-wicket haul in Twenty20 cricket. He was acquired by the Colombo Stars for the third season of the Lanka Premier League the following month. He was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants in December 2022 during the 2023 Indian Premier League auction.

International career

On September 25, 2016, Naveen played in his first One Day International (ODI) for Afghanistan against Bangladesh. He was a member of the Afghanistan team that competed in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup before making his ODI debut. He led Afghanistan in the 2016 Under-19 Asia Cup in December of that year.

In the 2017 Desert T20 Challenge, Naveen made his Twenty20 (T20) debut for Afghanistan against Namibia on January 19.

Naveen was chosen to lead the Afghanistan team at the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2017.

Naveen was selected for the Afghanistan Twenty20 International (T20I) team in August 2019 in preparation for the Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series in 2019–2020.On September 21, 2019, he made his Afghanistan T20I debut against Bangladesh.
