Nehal Wadhera

Nehal Wadhera, an Indian cricket player who was born on September 4th, 2000, plays the left-handed bat and the occasional leg break bowl. After playing for the India under-19 cricket team, he now plays for the Punjab cricket team in domestic cricket.

Domestic career
Nehal Wadhera was included in Punjab’s roster for the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in December 2020. Wadhera was purchased by the Mumbai Indians in December 2022 for a sum of 20 lakh in order to represent them in the Indian Premier League. He was the third player from the Ludhiana district to be called up for the IPL. He was chosen to represent Punjab in the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy in January 2023. On January 3, 2023, he played his first game for Punjab against Gujarat. He scored 123 runs in his debut game to lead Punjab to a 380-run victory. This was his match-winning century. In just his third first-class match, he scored 214 runs against Madhya Pradesh on January 18, 2023, to record his first double hundred. In his first season of first-class cricket, he received the player of the match award and finished with 376 runs from seven innings.

IPL Career and Statistics
On April 2, 2023, in the 2023 Indian Premier League, he made his Twenty20 debut for the Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore. His quick fire 21 runs off 13 balls, including two sixes, astonished everyone in his debut game. In current IPL season, he has scored two straight half century and is the third player from his district to receive an IPL call-up.
