Pakistan won the 3rd T20I by 66 runs to avoid the whitewash against Afghanistan

On Monday, Pakistan managed to secure a consolation win of 66 runs in the third and final T20 international against Afghanistan, held in Sharjah. However, despite the win, Afghanistan emerged victorious in the series with a score of 2-1.
After suffering defeats in the first two matches by six and seven wickets respectively, Pakistan’s new-look side put up an impressive batting display, amassing 182-7 in 20 overs. This total proved too much for Afghanistan, who only managed 116 in 18.4 overs. Both, Shadab Khan and Ihsanullah took 3 wickets each and restricted Afghanistani batters from chasing the target. The credit for the improved batting performance goes to opener Saim Ayub, who contributed a solid 49 runs off 40 balls, including two sixes and four boundaries.

Shadab Khan was awarded the Player of the Match award in this 3rd T20I for his fabulous performance with both bat and ball. He scored 28 runs on 17 balls and took three wickets in his four overs spells for giving just 13 runs. Despite the win, Pakistan could not prevent Afghanistan from clinching the series.
