Ravi Bishnoi

Having been born on September 5, 2000, Ravi Bishnoi plays cricket for India internationally. He participates in white ball cricket for the Indian cricket team. He bowls right-arm leg breaks. In February 2022, he made his international debut. In both domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League, he represents Rajasthan and Lucknow Super Giants. He first gained notoriety while representing India in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, when he finished with the most wickets (seventeen) in the competition.

Domestic Career

On February 21, 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for Rajasthan in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the 2018–19 season. On September 27, 2019, he played for Rajasthan in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy, making his List A debut. He was included in India A’s roster for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy in October 2019.

IPL Career and Statistics

He was acquired by Kings XI Punjab ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League in the 2020 IPL auction in December 2019. Bishnoi made his IPL debut on September 20, 2020, against the Delhi Capitals. He took Rishabh Pant for his first wicket and finished with the bowling of 1/22 in four overs, however his team lost. With 12 wickets in the final game of the season, he earned an Emerging Player nomination.

Prior to the 2022 Indian Premier League season, the new team Lucknow Super Giants selected Bishnoi in the first round of the draught in February 2022.

International Career and Statistics

He was included in India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2019. Bishnoi was voted the player of the match after, during India’s 21 January 2020 victory against Japan, he claimed four wickets without allowing a run before concluding his spell with four wickets for five runs from eight overs. He finished the competition with the most wickets taken.

Bishnoi was selected for both the ODI and T20I teams of India in January 2022 in preparation for their home series against the West Indies. On February 16, 2022, he played in his first T20 International for India against the West Indies cricket team, capturing two wickets for 17 runs and earning player of the match honors. He was included in India’s ODI team in October 2022 for their series against South Africa. On October 6, 2022, he played in his first ODI match against South Africa.
