Record-Breaker Siraj: Fastest to Reach 50 Test Wickets After 19 Matches

With the dismissal of Nathan Lyon in his 19th Test match, Mohammed Siraj surpassed the milestone of 50 Test wickets.

In his 19th Test, Siraj, who made his Test debut during the Border-Gavaskar trophy match in Melbourne in the 2020–21 season, recorded his 50th wicket. During the second day of the World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval in London, Mohammed Siraj took his 50th Test wicket by dismissing Nathan Lyon. During the first session of the second day, Siraj succeeded in strangling Travis Head down the leg side in addition to taking the wicket of a well-positioned David Warner.

His current preferred opposition is England. Against it, he has claimed 21 wickets. Along with that, he has 16 wickets versus Australia. His lone Test five-for came against the Australians as well. He has taken 41 Test wickets away from home, 21 of which came in England.
