Roadmap to Glory: India’s Schedule for Cricket World Cup 2023 Revealed

The eagerly anticipated Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to start in India in October. Notably, the last ODI World Cup was hosted in India in 2011, and it has been 12 years since then before the tournament returned to the continent. Ten teams will compete in the major competition, eight of which have already been announced, and two of which will be chosen through the ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifier in Zimbabwe.
ICC Revealed the ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has received a draught schedule for the upcoming 50-over World Cup from the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), which states that the opening match will be played on October 5 between the reigning champions England and the runners-up of the previous tournament, New Zealand. Three days later, on October 8, India will open their campaign against Australia.

Before they approve it or reveal the final fixtures for the Cricket World Cup 2023, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent the other participating nations the draught schedule created by the Indian board for comments. It is important to note that the provisional schedule calls for India to play nine league-stage games in nine cities. At Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on October 15, the hosts will play their bitter foes Pakistan.
