Rohit Sharma is one of the best opening batsmen in the world, especially known for his excellent hitting power shots. He is currently performing the role of Indian team captain in ODIs. During a One-day international match against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in November 2014, he scored an astonishing 264 runs on 173 balls to break the record for the highest individual score in a One-Day International cricket match.

Indian team won the match by 153 runs against the Sri Lankan team and Rohit Sharma was awarded the Player of the Match award for his devastating batting on that day.
