Shivam Dube

Indian cricketer Shivam Dube (born 26 June 1993) competes for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Mumbai in domestic competition. He is an all rounder who bowls with his right arm at a medium tempo and bats left-handed. In November 2019, he made his international cricket debut for India.

Domestic Career

During the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 18, 2016, he made his Twenty20 debut for Mumbai. On February 25, 2017, he made his List A debut for Mumbai during the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

On December 7, 2017, he made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. He recorded his first five-wicket haul in first-class cricket during the first innings. On November 2, 2018, he recorded his first century in first-class cricket during Mumbai’s match against Railways in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. In his subsequent match against Karnataka, he claimed seven wickets for 54 runs, good for another five-wicket haul. On December 17, 2018, Dube smashed five sixes in one over during the Ranji Trophy match against Baroda. It was the second time he had done so, the first being in the Mumbai T20 League in March, where he also won player of the competition, when he hit five sixes in a single over against Pravin Tambe. With 23 dismissals in eight games, he was leading with wickets for Mumbai 2018 Ranji Trophy.

IPL Career and Statistics

He was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in December 2018 during the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League. Prior to the 2021 Indian Premier League, the Rajasthan Royals purchased Dube in the IPL auction in February 2021. He was purchased by the Chennai Super Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition in February 2022. Now he is a profitable player for CSK as he is playing at it very best.

International career and Statistics

Dube was selected for India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) team in October 2019 for their series against Bangladesh. On November 3, 2019, he played in his first T20I for India against Bangladesh. Dube was selected for India’s One Day International (ODI) team later that month for their series against the West Indies. On December 15, 2019, he played his first ODI for India against the West Indies. Dube bowled the second-most costly over in a T20I competition on February 2, 2020, when he allowed 34 runs in the fifth T20I match against New Zealand.
