Shubman Gill moved up two spots to land at number six in the most recent rankings, which were updated on January 24. Meanwhile, captain Rohit moved up two spots and re-entered the top-10 ODI batsmen list. Virat Kohli, on the other side, dropped one spot in this most recent rating. Virat recently played well in a three-match ODI series versus Sri Lanka, but he struggled against New Zealand in the same series and dropped in the rankings as a result.

Virat Kohli dropped one spot and is now ranked seven. The ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings from India are now Gill’s best rating at the same time.
