Slow but Steady Warner.

IPL 2023 is already in its mid way and we got to witness many great performance by the Team and by the Individual players. There were set back too and that too with the big names who couldn’t deliver to their team as per the reputation. One of those big name is David Warner.
Last in the Points Table
David Warner is currently a part of Delhi Capital and also he took the responsibility of Captaincy in the absence of Pant. Delhi Capitals so far have no good run in the tournament and they are lacking in almost every department of the game and they are looking weaker among all the team. DC lost 5 matches in a row in their 5 games and finally in their 6th game against KKR they registered their first win but still they are in the bottom most of the points table.
Warner’s Strike Rate
The 36 years old Australian cricketer David Warner who is one of the finest and one of the leading scorer in IPL. His ability to perform in T20 is not hidden to any. His consistency, his ability to score quick and his match winning ability is commendable over the years now but contrast to his approach this 2023 season of IPL we are witnessing different slow and struggling warner. Despite of scoring 3 fifties in 6 games he is looking no near to his touch which is a matter of concern for DC for the later half of IPL to come. His half centuries 56 of 48, 65 of 55 and 57 of 41. These stats don’t define Warner because he is far far better than this strike rate.
Capital Finally Broke the Losing Strike
DC led by Warner is going its lean phase. With only one win in their 6 matches got themselves in the bottom of the table. Warner with 3 half centuries and Axar Patel with his ball and contribution with the bat is some notable performance in the team. In the game against KKR, DC bowlers manage to restrict opponent for just 127 in 20 0vers where Ishant Sharma took 2 for 19 in his 4 over and was awarded man of the match. DC chased down the target with the help of Captain Warner’s half century in the second ball of the last over of DC innings. From here on DC still can rebegin their campaign in a positive note as there is lot more come up next in this IPL.
IPL is one the most unpredictable league in the world and we are just in its mid of the season and we can hardly predict what’s hidden inside in its belt. Topper of the table can end up in the bottom and the team in the bottom end up being finalist as we keep going further in the tournament .
