The 31-year-old returnee creates history

RANJI TROPHY , INDIA : A hat-trick in the first over of the game is quite rare to see, yet it was made possible by Jaydev Unadkat. The left-armer, who returned in style after 12 years, wreaked havoc.

Jaydev Unadkat

The 31-year-old took a hat-trick in the first over and six wickets in total on Tuesday (January 3) against Delhi during the Ranji Trophy match. He dismissed Dhruv Shorey, Vaibhav Rawal, and Yash Dhull on his third, fourth, and fifth deliveries. Unadkat played his debut test back in December 2010 against South Africa. After a gap of 12 years, he was called back to the Indian Test team for the tour of Bangladesh.

During these 12 years, however, he became a giant in domestic cricket. After the match, Unadkat took to Twitter and posted a picture with the match ball in hand.

Dear red ball… #RanjiTrophy,” he tweeted.
