India Premier league hosted it’s 1000th match on Sunday evening. The match was between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. Many players shined out on the high scoring game but Tim David delivered the last blow and take his team home in Wankhede.
Tim David pulled off the Record Chase for MI
Rajasthan Royal’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made his debut century against Mumbai Indians on 30 April 2023. He scored 124 runs on 62 balls. RR gave target of 212 to MI to chase in 20 overs. Mumbai Indians chased the target on 3rd ball of 20th over with the stunning 3 sixes in 3 balls by Tim David. It was the highest chase for MI at Wankhede.
When Tim David came to the crease MI were still 61 runs behind. 61 of 26 balls was what needed for MI. Tim came after the dismissal of Surya Kumar Yadav and MI were already in the back seat. But Tim had other plans and executed his plans. He smashed unbeaten 45 of just 14 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours. 17 runs needed in the last over of Jason Holder and Tim smashed 3 sixes in first 3 deliveries and sealed the game for MI.
