Cameron Green

The 23-year-old Australian all-rounder has quickly established himself in the cricketing world. Cameron Green made his debut for Australia in 2020, and after only a few years in international cricket, he has caught the attention of T20 franchises worldwide. Cameron Green was sold to the Mumbai Indians for a whopping 17.50 crore, making him the IPL 2023’s second most expensive player. Mumbai Indians, five-time IPL champions, finished last in the IPL last year. KL Rahul, the stylish Indian batter and the captain of LSG, was retained by the franchise for a hefty sum of 17 crore INR, making him the 3rd most expensive player in the IPL 2023 and the most expensive Indian player in the IPL 2023. KL Rahul was the second-highest run-scorer (616) in the IPL last year, and LSG also made the playoffs but unfortunately lost to the RCB in the eliminator, but this time they will be aiming to go all the way and bring the cup home.

 

Ben Stokes:

Another All-rounder! Ben Stokes, 1x World Cup winner and 1x T20 World Cup winner, was roped in by CSK for 16.25 crore. Ben Stokes is a clutch player. He can perform under pressure and take the team out of challenging situations, as he did last year in the T20 World Cup Final and the Final of the 2019 ODI World Cup. Ben Stokes can bring balance to the CSK side as he is a great batter, a brilliant bowler, and a fantastic fielder. CSK can also benefit from his leadership skills. CSK finished at the second-last place in the IPL last year and could not find the perfect combination. Ben Stokes is a complete package, and CSK made a wise decision by picking him in the auctions.

 

Nicholas Pooran

LSG paid 16 crore INR for the Caribbean’s firepower, Nicholas Pooran. Last year, Pooran played for SRH and was acquired for 10.75 crores. However, he failed to perform but still was sold for a higher price this
season than the previous year. Pooran is a talented player who can change the game for his team on his own, and LSG will be hoping for some Pooran fireworks in the IPL 2023.
