You can’t really jump to your goal “Babar Azam”

Two-time ICC Men’s ODI Player of the Year Babar Azam has achieved almost everything possible in 50-over cricket over the last 24 months, but there is one more accolade the inspirational skipper is missing and dearly wants to achieve – leading Pakistan to the ICC Cricket World Cup title in India later this year.

In that time Babar has amassed a heap of runs and his structure has helped Pakistan stays perhaps of the best group in one-day cricket as the Asian side has surrounded the No.1 group positioning.

“The desire is to be a region of the planet Cup group and to win the competition,” Babar told ICC Computerized when asked what his professional aspiration was.

“The World Cup is coming up and my desire is to perform well with the goal can win it.

“You see a ton of things separately as well, yet my objective right currently is to win the World Cup.”

While Pakistan just played a sum of nine ODI matches in 2022 – losing only once in that range to Australia at home – Babar’s side has a large group of 50-over matches arranged throughout the next few months that will assist them with planning for the World Cup that is planned for India not long from now.

Babar realizes there is a lot of cricket that will be played preceding the competition that will decide the make-up of his side.

The 2023 version of the Asia Cup – returning to the 50-over design once more – is not too far off before the World Cup.

“This year we have a ton of white-ball cricket due to the World Cup…you need to make things stride by step,” Babar noted.

“You can’t actually leap to your objective. You need to accomplish it bit by bit.

“The mentality is to go bit by bit, yet better believe it you have it in the back for your brain that you really want to perform well.

“Yet, there is difficult work and arranging behind it.”
