Yuvraj Singh was replaced by MS Dhoni After Team India’s victory in the 2011 ODI World Cup, says Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder for India, led the Men in Blue to two World Cup victories. When India won the T20 World Cup for the first time in 2007, he was one of the top players in the tournament. In 2011, the seasoned player won the 50-over World Cup’s Player of the Tournament award.

Yuvraj Singh Diagnosis With Cancer

After the 2011 World Cup, he received a cancer diagnosis, which caused him to miss a significant amount of time playing. He had less power with the bat when he returned in 2012. Yuvi was unable to establish himself permanently. In 2017, the same year he scored 150 against England in the 50-over format, Yuvraj Singh played his final one-day international against the West Indies.

Dhoni Just Changed his Mind Regarding Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj added that Dhoni transformed as a result of India’s World Cup victory in 2011. “Up to the major event in 2011, he had a lot of faith in me. I was his main participant. But when I joined the team again after overcoming cancer, everything changed. I can’t blame anyone for my exclusion from the 2015 World Cup because the game had already progressed. Dhoni changed, but I can understand since a captain can’t be expected to defend everything. The team’s performance is important, he continued.
